This internationally recognised organ was built by Klais of Germany in 2010, and attracts leading musicians from all over the world. Most people’s experience of the organ is in a church, but this civic instrument has a different role - to explore the organ’s rich repertoire. Listening to the town hall organ’s 5291 pipes in full voice is an experience like no other. Find out about our concerts, or dig deep into the organ’s history on this website.
Concerts are free, thanks to the generosity of former mayor Sir Henry Brett.
We look forward to sharing this extraordinary instrument with you.
