Pedal Organ 32' Contra Posaune pipes: the only rank, other than the 32' Open Wood and 32' Open Metal ranks, that sit on the console level inside the organ. This was the first rank to be installed before all the wind reservoirs went in.

Māori sounds of the organ: the kōauau is a little Māori flute, traditionally of about five notes and made of wood or bone. The Auckland Town Hall Organ's kōauau pipes are made of scientific glass, with 61 notes to match the 61 notes of the keyboard.

Māori sounds of the organ: the pūkāea is a kind of a trumpet made of metal and wood. This organ version was made in consultation with Māori instrument specialist Richard Nunns and carved by Arekatera Maihi, carver of the Ōrakei marae, Ngāti Whātua.
