<p><strong>About the Concert</strong></p>

<p>The first concert to kick off the 2026 Free Organ Concert Series in partnership with the Auckland Town Hall Organ Trust presents a solid program for organ aficionados as well as a selection of Chinese works for organ and suona, a traditional Chinese double reed instrument.</p>

<p>Performing on the mighty Klais Organ is young organist and Hong Kong star Eric Chan along with Yazhi Guo, a suona player and one of the world&rsquo;s leading exponents of the instrument. The pair recently completed an impressive European tour.</p>

<p>Organ works include Mozart&rsquo;s Fantasie in F minor, K 608, Piern&egrave;&rsquo;s Trois Pi&eacute;ces, Op 29, Liszt&rsquo;s Prelude and Fugue on B-A-C-H and Bach&rsquo;s Toccata and Fugue in D minor (Dorian) while the East meets West repertoire will feature Bach/Vivaldi Concerto in D major BWV 972 arranged for organ and suona.</p>

<p>This is sure to be a memorable concert curated in response to the city&rsquo;s growing Chinese population. Book early to avoid disappointment.</p>
